Umbrella semi-automatic

Nearly everyone in the world uses umbrellas as they are a convenient way to shelter from the rain. Now the market offers the widest selection of umbrellas for every taste and wallet. The most common umbrella product among buyers is a semi-automatic umbrella. There are also mechanical and automatic umbrellas.

Unlike mechanical umbrellas, semi-automatic umbrellas are somewhat easier to operate. Of course, umbrellas with a mechanical device are simple and inexpensive. They are light, compact, and easy to handle. But the small details of the spokes and fasteners can quickly fail, and it takes time to open the umbrella itself.

The advantage of a semi-automatic umbrella over mechanical models is its accelerated opening. To open such an umbrella, you need to press the button located on the handle of the umbrella, and the rod will immediately extend to the stop. Then just carefully open the dome. You will have to close semi-automatic umbrellas manually by pulling the slider down to the extreme hook.

If compared with an umbrella of the “automatic” type, then the difference compared to an automatic machine is already obvious in the name itself, i.e. in umbrellas with an automatic device, automation in everything: both in opening and closing. Just press the button. Well, the price is correspondingly more expensive, since the mechanism is already more complicated and requires additional costs when forming the cost of goods.

The minus of both umbrellas is that with an increased gust of wind they bend inside out, after which you have to turn them back to normal, and then, if possible. Therefore, when buying a semi-automatic umbrella, be sure to pay attention to the fact that its device has an “anti-wind” system for such cases.

• Cane umbrellas. Such umbrellas are considered the most reliable in operation. And they are not only durable. Canes are the best way to protect you from the rain because of the larger canopy than other umbrellas.

• Small size models. Of all the types of umbrellas, it is the semi-automatic umbrellas that can be the most compact and lightest. Speaking of weight, the difference compared to an automatic is in favor of a semi-automatic, since automatic rifles are very heavy.

• The dome is made of polyester (maybe even with the addition of cotton), pongee and nylon. Polyester is a sun-resistant material. Pongee is a silk or cotton fabric that practically does not absorb moisture. But nylon is a bad option. The nylon umbrella will quickly become deformed, dull and ugly.

• Frames can be made of fiberglass, steel, plastic and aluminum. The last two materials are the lightest. Fiberglass and steel are more reliable in rain and heavy thunderstorms, as they can withstand strong gusts of wind.

• The umbrella handle can be plastic or wooden. More practical, of course, plastic.

Like all other umbrellas, after rain, hang on the door handle, leaving half open until completely dry. Never dry it completely open, especially near heaters. So the umbrella will quickly fail due to the stretching of the fabric of the dome and the increased load on the spokes.Do not forget to dry the case: the umbrella will take a long time to dry, and mold will appear if you put it in a wet case.

If heavily soiled, it is recommended to clean the umbrella. Place the folded umbrella in a container of soapy water for a few minutes and rinse it open under the shower. Remove stains that cannot be washed off with a solution of ammonia in the following proportions: 125 ml of ammonia per 1 liter of water. Vinegar solution will help to refresh the color of the dome of the umbrella: 30-40 ml per 1 liter of water.
