These circumstances determined the main features of the cowboy style:

• Simplicity. Real cowboys did not decorate their things with anything. At first, there was simply no time for this in the harsh conditions of their lives. Then excessive decorativeness began to be considered inappropriate for a brutal image.

The characteristics of the life of cowboys were also determined by the materials from which clothes and shoes were made. Traditionally, since the time of the development of America, there is no place for synthetics in the image of cowboys.

• The most important, indispensable material is genuine leather.Hats, boots, belts, gloves are made from it.
• Then durable denim - jeans. This fabric of gold diggers also came in handy for brave cowboy riders.
• Next come cotton, linen for shirts and scarves, as well as straw, from which the summer version of hats is made.

So, let's look at the cowboy from head to toe, what is he wearing and without what elements could a man call himself a cowboy?

1. Cowboy boots - this is an essential attribute of a true cowboy. In this sense, only a cowboy hat can compare with them. But it is interesting that boots could be worn without a hat, but on the contrary - this is already a bad form among real cowboys. Riders' boots have a special structure. First, a pointed toe to easily hit the stirrup. Secondly, be sure to have a heel, 3-4 cm high, to keep the foot in the stirrup during the race. Thirdly, a wide shaft to quickly put on shoes without wasting time on fasteners. It was also customary to tuck trousers into boots.
2. Cowboy hat - a legendary headdress, by which even in the crowd you can identify a resident of Texas or someone who decided to try on elements of a cowboy wardrobe. This hat has a recognizable silhouette - the brim is turned up on the sides, and the crown is made in the shape of a trapezoid. Previously, the hat was sewn to order, was expensive and was the pride of its owner.

But, of course, the cowboy costume is not limited to boots and a hat. Here, of course, there is a spacious shirt, without pockets or with one or two breastplates. Next - comfortable jeans with a straight cut or slightly tapered to the bottom. Traditionally favorite brands are Levi's and Wrangler.

Of the accessories - a scarf that protected the skin from the sun and dust.Durable leather gloves essential for riding or lassoing. A wide leather belt is also required.

If you want to add some flair and create an interesting look, add a few elements of cowboy style to your wardrobe. Do not wear all of the above items at once. Showing up in full cowboy costume will look ridiculous and out of place, unless, of course, you are going to a masquerade or a themed photo shoot.

Designers have been happy to use Wild West motifs in their shows for many years. Creatively reworking the basic principles, fashion designers move away from brutal canons and bring variety to the cowboy style. This is not surprising, because cowboy hats and boots began to appear frequently in women's collections.

Although men were and are cowboys, what could be sexier than a woman in men's clothes? The beautiful half of humanity knows this secret well and uses it by applying the cowboy style of clothing.

The female image includes interesting ornaments and embroideries on clothes and boots. On hats, stylists allow the appearance of straps, rivets and other decorative elements. The cowboy style in the girl's wardrobe is characterized by fringe, weaving and braid.

The most striking and intriguing is the combination of coarse and delicate materials. Together with leather boots, you can wear a mini skirt with frills or lace trim. A dense cowboy shirt in a women's wardrobe becomes thin and translucent. If you are using a real men's shirt, then you can playfully unbutton a couple of top buttons, or tie the floors at the waist.

The “hat only with boots” rule is also no longer relevant.This headpiece goes well with flat sandals or wedges. The boots themselves in the female version also acquired seductively high heels.

Invariable in the cowboy image, whether it is on a ranch or at a fashion show, only the color scheme remains. It is due to the use of natural materials: brown, mustard, beige, as well as shades of blue and muted red.

Elements of cowboy style are very self-sufficient, and therefore do not combine well with other styles. Plastic accessories, deliberate artificiality and synthetics are not allowed here, as they will make your look sound cheap and tasteless.

Don't forget to complete the look with a matching hairstyle. Two braids or interesting weaving will look good if you are without a headdress. If you put on a hat, then loose hair will look especially advantageous, as if carelessly scattered over your shoulders.
