In addition to non-standard and peculiar views on life, adherents of this style differed from those around them in bright and colorful clothes. It consisted of natural materials such as linen, cotton, cambric.

Jargon. The hippie style developed rapidly and its culture spread throughout the world. In colloquial speech, borrowed English words sounded clearly. For example, “bolt” is a bottle, “khair” is hair, “ksivnik” is a leather bag.

Music. Hippies deftly and skillfully combined several styles in music: rock, blues, folk. They took such directions as a basis, added a little of their vision and got their own musical "masterpiece". Grebenshchikov is considered a domestic musician and favorite.

Entertainment. Adherents of this direction love freedom in everything.

They sometimes indulge themselves in wine and port, often use soft drugs.

Views. Hippies exist separately from the ordinary world, they are used to living by their own rules and canons.

On July 4, 1972, thousands of adherents of this subculture could be observed on Table Mountain, located in the US state of Colorado. They held hands for an hour and meditated.

The tradition has become popular, it has spread almost all over the world.

Also, one can distinguish George Harrison, he brought new views to the work of the group, which, in turn, he took from eastern countries. He was a participant in various actions, the initiator of charity concerts.

With the advent of such a subculture as hippies, different opinions began to arise in the world about this. Some were perplexed, considered this appearance and way of life too defiant and extravagant.

Others, in turn, supported this trend. The desire for peace and justice, goodness and freedom motivated people to follow the adherents of this subculture.

Now hippies are not so popular, but in some parts of the world, the very communities that love and appreciate life still survive.
