Beautiful skin is healthy skin. It is not surprising that many women, and some men too, pay a lot of attention to caring for her. There are tons of tips, tricks, and even recipes to make your skin look cleaner with a scrub. One of the more popular options is to use aspirin as the primary skin cleanser. This method is quite simple to use at home, and also profitable in terms of money.

To date, there are quite a few different scrub recipes, which are based on aspirin. However, it should be understood that aspirin is a medical drug. It has certain effects, and there are a number of contraindications for it. That is why it is best to understand the features of this method.

Why is cleaning necessary?

Unlike cosmetic masks, scrubs have a special structure and consistency, and may also contain additional substances in their composition, which helps to remove the top layer of the epidermis. It consists of keratinized and dead cells, which not only disrupt the appearance, but also increase the risk of inflammation and pore closure. Therefore, after such a procedure, the face looks cleaner, well-groomed. To increase the cleaning efficiency, a variety of mixtures are used, which have one or another advantage.

Aspirin contains acetylsalicylic acid in its composition. When applied externally on the skin, it causes a slight chemical burn that extends to the top layer of the dermis and thereby facilitates its exfoliation. This cleaning option is quite aggressive for the body, so it should be used with caution. As a rule, various substances are added to it that reduce the activity of acetylsalicylic acid, for example, honey.

Aspirin facial scrub is especially recommended for people with problematic facial skin that tends to be oily. The pharmacological properties of this substance make it possible to cleanse not only the upper epidermis, but also clogged sebaceous glands. Also, aspirin has a moderate anti-inflammatory effect and dries the affected areas.

Advantages

An aspirin scrub, or an aspirin-honey mask, is the most successful skincare choice for young girls. It allows you to solve many problems of oily skin, because it not only facilitates the exfoliation of the epidermis, but also opens the pores, stabilizes the fat balance. This remedy is also effective for ingrown hairs as it can make it easier for the hair to come out.

Another advantage of an aspirin-containing scrub is that it is easy to prepare and affordable, which saves many women the need to visit the beauty salon often. Nevertheless, some caution should be exercised, monitor the concentration of the drug and do not forget about the addition of softening components.

This treatment is suitable for almost any part of the body. There are quite a few cooking options, and each of them is suitable for a specific occasion:

  • A regular scrub with acetylsalicylic acid and honey, which is suitable for anyone who wants to take care of their face;
  • For those who have skin prone to inflammation, the best choice would be a mixture with the addition of tea tree extract, oil or clay based;
  • Scrub with the addition of sunflower oil is preferable for too sensitive skin types;
  • The addition of vineyard seed oil will make pore cleansing much more effective;

Skin care with aspirin often gets a lot of positive feedback. With proper preparation and use, it has a fairly high efficiency. The main thing is not to forget that aspirin is a medical product and follow the simple rules for its use.

Contraindications

It is best to carry out procedures with aspirin no more than once a week. At the same time, the course itself, depending on how pronounced skin problems are, includes up to 10 procedures. It is not advisable to use such a scrub more intensively. Aspirin causes a moderate chemical burn, so it is best to take care of your face as carefully as possible during the cleaning course.

As with any pharmacological drug, the use of aspirin scrub has its own contraindications, so it may not be suitable for everyone:

  • Allergy to aspirin, or any other components that make up the scrub;
  • Mixtures with acetylsalicylic acid are not recommended for use during pregnancy or during lactation;
  • Never use this drug if there are unhealed wounds on the face or any other area of the skin;
  • The presence of sexually transmitted diseases;
  • It is also impossible to carry out such procedures on skin areas that have recently been epilated. It is recommended to wait at least three days;
  • Redness of the skin.

In addition, it is worth remembering that the external use of aspirin is a rather aggressive skin care method that is used for thorough cleaning. Usually, doctors do not recommend this remedy to anyone who has hypersensitivity of the skin or frequent manifestation of allergic reactions. If you are not sure, you can always consult your doctor or cosmetologist regarding the possibility of using such a scrub.

Application features

To prepare a scrub and clean the skin, you need:

  • Four aspirin tablets;
  • Fresh lemon juice (teaspoon);
  • Cooking soda (Teaspoon);
  • Glass of water;

Lemon juice should be mixed with powder from previously crushed aspirin tablets. The resulting scrub is applied to the skin in a uniform and very thin layer. Avoid the areas around the eyes, as the skin around them is too delicate for such an aggressive and deep cleansing.

After applying the solution, it can be kept for no more than five minutes, then rinse with warm water. Since the effect of aspirin is quite strong and causes a slight burn, it is best to stop the effect of the acid immediately. To do this, dilute soda in warm water and treat your face with it immediately after removing the scrub.

At the end of the procedures, there may be a burning sensation or tingling sensation. This is a completely natural reaction of the body, which will pass quickly enough. Exfoliation will begin approximately on the second day after cleansing, and will last for about a week. In this case, the skin of the face may turn red.During this period, it should not be rubbed, and the top layer should be removed with cotton pads soaked in warm water. Also, during the procedures, it is recommended to actively moisturize the treated areas of the skin with creams that do not clog pores and have a light texture.
