• Color. Good quality mink is beautiful in itself and does not need to be dyed or tinted. The color must be even, unless otherwise specified by the model. Usually, even before stitching, the skins are carefully checked for matching in tone. The skins should not show signs of rust or fading. If the fur coat is made of dyed or tinted fur, a color fastness test must be carried out. To do this, just take a wet white handkerchief in your hand and run it over the fur - if there are no traces of paint left on the fabric, then the product is dyed according to the technology.

• Pile. It should be shiny, elastic and uniform. When stroked against the wool, the fibers of the mink fur quickly return to their place, which cannot be said about the fur of the marmot, which often unscrupulous sellers can pass off as a mink. With light tweaks of the fur, no villi should remain in the hand. If this happens, then the fur is poorly processed and will shed.

• High-quality dressing of the mezdra - the reverse side of the skin. Almost all self-respecting manufacturers do not trim the bottom edge of the product to the end so that the buyer can verify the quality of the mezra. It should be soft, elastic, not very thick, without cracks. When pressed, the mezra should not creak, but when shaking the fur coat, "rattle".

• Tailoring quality. The seams should be even, without protruding threads. The fewer seams on the back of the product, the better. The fur coat should be sewn from whole skins - then it will be worn for a really long time.

• Price. A good mink coat cannot be very cheap.If, with all the excellent characteristics, the cost of a fur coat is lower than the market average, then you are offered not a mink, but a fake from another fur.
