A few years ago, fashionable makeup of the sixties returned, the main part of which is luxurious black arrows drawn with eyeliner. Modern girls are so fond of this makeup element that many of them can no longer imagine themselves without brightly highlighted eyes.

Especially popular in our climatic conditions are waterproof eyeliners, which are not afraid of either heavy rain or snow falling in large flakes. Regardless of weather conditions, the arrows drawn with waterproof eyeliner last until the end of the day.

Peculiarities

Naturally, the main feature of such eyeliners is that they are indelible. Ordinary liners or eyeliners tend to wash off, smudge or even spread. A good and persistent eyeliner will last almost all day and cannot be washed off with ordinary water.

Waterproof products have another advantage compared to ordinary products: they draw the arrow much more clearly and the color itself is brighter and more saturated. Also, this type of liquid dries faster, lays down more evenly and allows you to create a wider variety of beautiful arrows. A big plus is that the eyeliner does not injure the soft skin of the eyelids, as, for example, sharpened pencils do.

Well, the main advantage of such tools is the convenience and ease of use.Even a beginner in makeup can quickly master the technique of drawing arrows with the right makeup.

Kinds

There are several types of waterproof eyeliners:

  • liquid;
  • solid;
  • Gel;
  • Cream;
  • Marker.

Let's consider each of them in more detail.

Liquid

This is the most popular type of eyeliner used by millions of women. Its packaging is standard: a small bottle, the shape of which depends on the manufacturer, and a screw cap with a thin brush at the end. Thanks to this tool, you can draw any kind of arrow from a very thin one, suitable for the daytime, to a thicker and more noticeable one, ideal for evening makeup.

As a rule, it is liquid products that are considered the most persistent, but there is one nuance that should be taken into account when applying makeup. It is difficult to wash it off with water, but if you apply too thick a layer of liquid, then after a few hours it may begin to crumble.

Learning how to draw arrows with liquid eyeliner is not very easy, but with regular training, you can quickly get the hang of it and learn how to easily cope with the task. The only problem may be that correcting such makeup will be quite problematic, since the product dries up in a matter of seconds and in case of a miss, everything needs to be corrected instantly.

Solid

This type is usually sold as a dry pencil or pressed powder in a small jar. The pencil is very convenient to use, it quickly and easily allows you to decorate your eyes. With powder, everything is a little more complicated: as a rule, it is intended for professional makeup artists who apply it with a special brush with a thin tip.

By the way, this type of eyeliner has the largest color palette.Silver and gold colors are great for evening make-up, blue or brown for original girls who love variety, classic black suits everyone.

Gel

This type of eyeliner is somewhat similar in principle to liquid eyeliner. It is a gel-like product that comes in a small jar with a screw-on lid. Brushes for such products are not provided in the kit, so you need to purchase them separately.

Many girls, having mastered drawing arrows with this tool, can no longer switch to others, since it is more convenient in many respects, primarily due to the brush, which can draw absolutely any kind of arrows - from feathered "smokey eyes" to beautiful ones in the style of Brigitte Bardot.

Creamy

Such an eyeliner is outwardly similar to a gel one. It is also sold in small round bottles, but at the same time it has a creamy texture that allows you to draw arrows not only with a dry, but also with a wet brush. Some makeup artists prefer to bring eyebrows with such means.

felt-tip pen

This product is ideal for beginners, as it allows you to draw a beautiful arrow with one hand movement literally the first time. The principle of operation here is like that of an ordinary felt-tip pen. It is necessary to remove the cap on one side and twist the tip on the other so that the liquid reaches the drawing tip in the form of a triangular sponge or brush.

Unfortunately, this type has several disadvantages along with advantages:

  • Such eyeliners quickly end or dry out.
  • The sponge itself for some brands is very short-lived and can become disheveled after a couple of weeks.
  • It will be difficult to draw a thin arrow with this liner.
  • The color of these products is not as saturated as that of liquid ones.Despite the simplicity and speed, the arrows can turn out faded, since the liquid itself inside is almost translucent.

Compound

As a rule, all eyeliners are similar in composition, but waterproof ones have some additional ingredients that give them extra durability. The composition combines natural oils and resins, which do not allow the product to spread and ensure their indelibility.

Some manufacturers supplement the composition with components such as vitamins E and C, which gently nourish and moisturize the skin of the eyelids.

How to wash off

As noted above, waterproof eyeliners are not washed off with ordinary water. If you try to erase the arrows with running water, you can get irritation of the skin of the eyelids. But removing makeup from the eyes can be very simple with the help of special tools that can be purchased at almost any store or pharmacy.

One of the most common means for removing waterproof eyeliner is highly refined petroleum jelly, followed by olive, coconut or other base oils, which will not only help to remove eye makeup without problems, but also moisturize the soft skin of the eyelids and accelerate the growth of eyelashes.

So, to wipe waterproof eyeliner from your eyes, you need to gently apply a little oil along the growth of the eyelashes to the made-up place with your fingers and wait about ten seconds. After this time, you should take a cotton pad and run it over your eyes, removing any remaining liquid from your eyes.

Be sure to rinse your face so that the oil does not get into your eyes.

You can also remove makeup from the eyes with the help of some cosmetic products, such as gel, milk, lotion or micellar water.To do this, you need to put a little product on a cotton pad and wipe your closed eyes with it from the inner corner to the outer. Then take a blank disc and remove the remnants of the product with it.

Some girls use a two-phase makeup remover that combines oils and fortified water.

Shake the bottle well before use to mix all the ingredients. When the composition becomes homogeneous, you need to moisten a cotton pad with it and put it on your eyes for fifteen seconds. After that, you should gently wipe the eyelid, removing the remnants of cosmetics. When the eyes are clear, the disk is turned over and the process is repeated to remove any residue.

But the easiest way is to use special impregnated wipes to remove makeup from the face. They are very convenient because they can be taken with you - a compact package fits in any purse. First of all, you need to get a napkin out of the package, then straighten it and attach it to your eyes, then wipe off the makeup with gentle movements. If necessary, repeat the procedure.
