Suede coat
The quality of outerwear has always been the main indicator of a person's prosperity and his attitude to his own style. And people who care about their own health in the cold season will never allow themselves to wear clothes made of poor quality and poorly warming material.
As for women, they have always been famous for their love for exquisite and noble gizmos, so this season the designers decided to please fashionistas with a special kind of coat - suede. And even though this material is terribly impractical and capricious, girls choose it with pleasure. This is due to the exquisite appearance of the fabric and a whole bunch of positive features.
Peculiarities
At its core, suede is ordinary leather, but specially processed and turned over to the inside. This material is much less durable than classic leather, but has a more original fleecy texture.
It is interesting that with proper care, namely systematic treatment with special means, proper cleaning and protection from moisture, this material can last an inexpressibly long time.
Few people know that suede can be made from different types of skins, including sheep and cow. Also, for the production of suede, the skins of fallow deer, deer, elk and antelope can be used. The inner part of the skins, in addition to the velvety texture, is also distinguished by the absence of a characteristic leather sheen.
The suede villi themselves can be of different lengths, but the material is always extremely soft. Due to the complexity of processing, natural suede has always been an expensive material.
Variety of materials and finishes
In order to get suede, the prepared skin is subjected to a special process of suede, impregnated with different types of fats. This may include fish oils, and animal, and vegetable.
In the process of processing, the natural fatty substances are oxidized, and the skin acquires moisture-repellent properties, which are extremely valuable for its coloring.
This suede method is a classic, but now many new processing methods have been invented that give the finished material greater practicality. What are the characteristics of products made from different types of suede?
Made from natural suede
Natural suede is distinguished by its softness and velvety texture, as well as matte color.
Products from it are allowed to be washed in soapy water, but do not rub or twist. Rinse after washing, things are advised in a solution of glycerin with water in a consistency of 0.5 to 1.
You can dry clothes in the unfolded state, and not suspended, as is usually done. You can iron the product only from the side of the lining, and the creases on it can simply be steamed.
With laser processing
Laser-cut items should be cared for in the same way as natural suede items, but the material itself is somewhat unusual.Due to the special processing, suede acquires a characteristic sheen that can be confused with spraying.
It is interesting that such a treatment of the skin makes the material more resistant to moisture and sudden changes in temperature, and most importantly, small dust particles and hairs become almost invisible on it.
The cost of suede items with laser processing is almost the same as for products made from natural suede.
Spandex suede
Since products made from natural suede are rather whimsical and impractical, many people prefer to choose clothes from a material that only looks like suede in appearance. One of these is spandex.
It is a synthetic material that is elastic and soft, and in properties resembles natural leather. Due to the characteristics of the material, this fabric was called stretch suede. It does not absorb moisture well, and due to its elasticity, it significantly extends the life of the product.
Fashion trends
Regarding women's suede coats, we can say that this season the designers decided to diversify the range of outerwear of this type as much as possible.
Juicy shades of red, pink and green are in fashion, as well as more classic black, gray, brown and sand. The most popular models are the following.
Hooded
Ideal for cold but dry seasons. Often the hood in such models is trimmed with natural fur, which makes the coat warmer and more stylish. Quite often, the edge on the hood is small and coincides with the pile on the inside of the product.
It is interesting that such models are often chosen by very young people who do not particularly like to wear hats. The softness and quality factor of the suede hood “forces” even those who, despite the cold, have always strived for beauty and comfort to warm up.
With smell
Such models are chosen more often by older ladies, as well as by those who want to hide excessive silhouette volumes. An integral part of each such model is a belt, which gives the figure a certain sophistication and femininity.
Coats of this cut look good in different lengths - shortened, elongated, and medium length. Young girls can also choose such a model, it will adorn absolutely every young lady.
Basque
Such coats are often chosen by girls who want to visually add volume to the hips. This model always gives femininity and elegance to the image due to the slightly flared bottom.
Interestingly, the peplum itself can even have an asymmetric shape, giving the product originality. Often, the lower part of the coat may be layered, and not the usual peplum in its classical sense.
How to choose
Natural suede is very expensive, so unscrupulous manufacturers often try to pass off as suede something that is not actually suede. When choosing a coat made of real suede, you should pay attention to:
1. The reverse side of the material - it should not be fabric.
2. The structure of the material - in its natural form, it will have creases, defects and bald spots resulting from processing.
3. Suede pile - it should be soft and almost invisible. If you run your finger over the natural pile, the color of the product will change.
Real suede absorbs water well, so if dark spots form at the site of moisture, the coat is real.
What to wear
Suede is the material that is exclusively combined only with things created from other natural materials.
Demi-season and cropped coat models are best combined with high-heeled shoes or ankle boots. More elongated and warm models look perfect with classic leather boots or over the knee boots.
The medium and cropped coat goes well with jeans and woolen dresses. Low running shoes would also be appropriate in this case.
Worst of all, flared pants are combined with this type of coat, although many designers consider this option acceptable.
Stylish images
The finishing touch to any look is the right bag. In the case of a suede coat, an accessory made of the same material would be an ideal option. It is good if the bag matches the color of the coat.
Interestingly, this version of outerwear is usually worn without a headdress. The neck is covered from the cold wind with a silk cloak, matching in shade with shoes.
