Multi-room tents: what are they and how to choose them?

People have always loved to travel - by car or on foot. Movement is an integral part of life, just like traveling. Many people prefer a comfortable stay when they live in a hotel or rent an overnight stay, where there is a bathroom, toilet and kitchen. But there are also people who try to get away from civilization as far away as possible, build their holidays directly close to nature, wild and unbridled. Comfort does not play an important role for them, so the choice of a tent, and not a house on the river bank, is very important for such tourists. Are there comfortable multi-room tents by season or type of holiday? We will deal with this in our article.

Before proceeding directly to the tents, it is worth noting for a start that the choice of a future overnight stay depends entirely on how you see your vacation. That is, where exactly it will take place. Basically, outdoor recreation is conditionally divided into 4 types, according to which special equipment and accessories are selected. Consider these types of recreation.

• Camping - a comfortable and convenient place, which is previously prepared so that tourists can stay overnight. Most likely, it will be a private area such as a camp or boarding house, where for a certain fee people rent only a plot or a plot with equipment (tent, pillows, blankets).Usually, with this type of holiday, people do not leave the campsite unless there is an agreement or any tours.

• Trekking, cycling and PVD (weekend hikes) are designed for approximately 2-4 days. The main feature of this holiday is that you carry all the equipment and necessary paraphernalia with you in a hiking backpack. The route is built on the basis of already known paths, due to this, you don’t have to look for a place to stay for the night. After all, glades or beaches in such cases are always marked on the maps, and they are mostly protected.
• Extreme tourism (climbing mountains, volcanoes, mountaineering). Such hikes are marked "increased complexity" and, in addition to the necessary equipment, require skills and dexterity, as well as the ability to think rationally in difficult circumstances. Indeed, due to weather conditions or other unforeseen circumstances, the camp will have to be set up where it is not always convenient. Therefore, the approach to choosing a tent and accessories is of particular importance here.
• Water tourism - the most understandable and beloved by many types of recreation. This includes rafting on the river, pond, overnight stays along the coast and fishing.

From the data obtained, tents can be divided into the following categories.

• camping tent - large and spacious, which will more resemble a small house with a wide distance between the walls, a high ceiling. Such tents are designed for a large number of people, that is, they have several rooms, vestibules and entrances. The structures are heavy in weight and are designed to be carried in a car.

• Trekking or tourist tents - light, compact. They can be conveniently placed in a backpack.Ideal for a multi day trip. Not designed for extreme temperatures, will not work in the winter and will not survive in prolonged rains.

• Assault tents - this is a kind of "must-have" for hiking. Light and strong, their weight is very small. Quickly assembled and disassembled. It is worth remembering that they are designed for one person.

There is no better holiday than a holiday with family and friends. Such trips are always full of wonderful memories. In order not to overshadow such trips, it is worth approaching the choice of tents wisely.

Before considering such tents, it is worth noting their advantages and disadvantages.

Of the advantages of multi-room tents, the following can be noted.

• Capacity. One two-room tent can accommodate about 8 people at once, and if it is a three-room tent, then 12.
• The big advantage is that the tent has a high ridge, this allows everyone who is there to comfortably settle down for a period of bad weather.
• With many rooms you can divide the room into zones: male and female.
• In the main vestibule it is possible to install a kitchen, which will be very relevant in bad weather.
• The number of outputs reaches four. Therefore, there is always access to things in different rooms.

The downsides are things like this.

• The weight can reach 15 kg. This means that for a hiking route such a tent will not be very convenient and in demand, because it turns out that someone will have to carry it on themselves.
• Sailing. Due to the height of the ridge and overall dimensions, such a house will not be able to withstand strong winds. All braces must always be securely fastened.
• Dimensions. The tent is designed for a large area, so it will not be possible to set up your lodging for the night on small stretches of flat land.
• Price such pleasure is really high, so several families acquire such houses at the same time.

Now we will look at camping tents and their varieties.

• Tents with outer frame. Their peculiarity lies in the fact that the arcs are threaded through certain cavities of the awning. The tent is rounded and without sharp corners.

• Internal frame. The awning is stretched on rods that do not have cushioning and do not bend. Such a frame is often used in stalls. By moving several rods outside, you can make or stretch a roof where the kitchen will be organized.

• Quick pitch tent. Not a multi-apartment option, but the design itself is very entertaining, since the half-arches when folded resemble a circle, which does not interfere with transportation. It is possible to create two rooms, but you will have to do without a vestibule.

• Tent with two diametrical rooms. It is considered to be a 2-room apartment; in addition to the common awning, it is connected by a common spacious vestibule where all things are stored or the kitchen is located. Each room can accommodate up to 4 people on average.

• Large tents with two or more rooms. The center of such a tent is a common vestibule, and the rooms themselves are located in a kind of star. This is a large construction and accommodates several families. It is possible to add another room.

• Modular tents are considered the most interesting and convenient to use. The buyer independently decides how many rooms he wants to purchase, as it is possible to buy and add new rooms, as well as vestibules. The advantages of this tent is that the modules can be both attached and detached. That is, if the number of people has decreased, then the modules can be disconnected without violating the structure.

So, when you have already decided on the type of tent that you need, then before buying, pay attention to some points.

• When choosing a tent, always consider the number of people who will be accommodated in it. You should not try to fit four people in a two-room tent.
• Don't skimp on the quality of your home. The tent should be made of durable and high quality materials.
