Kashul was sewn from linen. Red and red-black ornaments were embroidered on the sleeves and collar. Each ornament had its own ritual meaning. It is generally accepted that only Belarusians retained the original form of patterns that existed among the ancient Slavic tribes.
The apron (apron) was of particular importance. He was a symbol of homeliness. The girl had to sew her first apron on her own. This meant that the girl became the mistress.
A sleeveless jacket, which was otherwise called a garset, was worn for the holidays. It was sewn from silk, velvet, brocade or other expensive fabric. According to the garset, they judged the financial situation of a person, so the Belarusians sought to ensure that he made a rich impression.
