Oils help to care for the skin in a gentle way, gently and gently cleanse from impurities, moisturize and nourish. That is why manufacturers of creams and mousses, who care about the quality and effectiveness of their products, add oils to them.

To use cream-oil most productively, you should carefully study the composition and find out which oils it contains, since it is their properties that determine the healing effect of the cream.

See below for details.

Properties

There are base oils and essential oils, which have an increased saturation of components and therefore cannot be used in their pure form. Both those and others are able to enrich cosmetic preparations, transferring their useful qualities to them. Most oils contain:

  1. vitamins, including vitamins of group B, which have a nutritional effect; vitamin A, which prevents cell aging; vitamin E activates the reproduction of collagen in cells, which guarantees firmness and smoothness of the skin; vitamin F improves the functioning of the sebaceous glands;
  2. Polyphenols are powerful antioxidants;
  3. organic acids - an ideal remedy for acne, they have an anti-inflammatory effect, block foci and soothe irritated skin;
  4. Fatty acid have a protective effect against UV - rays and cold.

Separately, it is worth mentioning the rare properties.For example, broccoli seed oil contains almost 47% erucic acid, it is a natural stabilizer and naturally increases the shelf life of the cream in which it is added. In addition, this acid, similar to silicone in its properties, envelops the surface of the skin with a protective film and accelerates the process of its regeneration. Tea tree is also outstanding as it is the only oil that has a rich antibacterial effect. Saffron oil is useful for caring for the delicate skin around the eyes.

The advantage of using oils in a cream is that, in addition to nutrition, our skin needs additional hydration, which can be provided by the components that make up the cream and are not directly present in the oils.

A feature of the effect of oils on the skin is the formation of a thin film on its surface, which prevents the evaporation of moisture and thereby retains it in the dermis, which is undoubtedly useful. But, at the same time, the presence of this film interferes with skin respiration, metabolism and the delivery of water to the upper layers of the epidermis, which can lead to its dehydration and blockage of the sebaceous glands.

This will not happen when using creams, as they contain additional ingredients that compensate for this effect.

Oils, with all the richness of the components, are also unable to notice the peptides and complexes of trace elements that the skin needs for normal functioning and that manufacturers add to creams.

Features of choice

Oil-based creams can be used daily, but you need to understand what exactly their multifunctional effect is and use, taking into account individual characteristics.

Creams are divided into the following groups:

  1. anti-aging;
  2. Anti-inflammatory;
  3. For oily and normal skin;
  4. For dry skin;
  5. For sensitive skin.

An anti-aging cream should have vitamin E, which is abundant, for example, in wheat germ, shea, palm or cocoa bean oil; These are the perfect ingredients for aging skin. Black cumin oil is also often included in creams for sagging skin, as it regulates the water balance of the epidermis.

For skin prone to inflammation, the presence of tea tree oil, jojoba, sage, yarrow and sea buckthorn is desirable in the cream, but it requires the presence of components such as allantoin and panthenol.

Creams designed for dry skin should have more oils. In this case, the effect of olive oil and macadamia will be most beneficial.

In formulations for oily skin, water should be in the first place, grape seed oil, shea butter and jojoba should be present, which moisturize the skin. For sensitive skin, the composition of the bio cream includes sandalwood and rosewood oil, chamomile and neroli.

For normal skin, almond oil is a good supportive remedy.

When choosing a cream with potent substances, which rightly include all essential oils, it is worth checking for skin sensitivity. Allergens in the composition can cause redness and swelling, in this case it is worth refusing to use even an already purchased cream so as not to harm your health.

In order to make sure that the newly used cream does not cause a rash on the face, or, in the worst case, does not provoke an asthma attack, you must first apply a small amount of it to the skin in the elbow or wrist area.If after a few hours there is no redness or itching on the skin at the site of application, then the cream is safe.

Reviews

American brand cream Aveda differ in a rather high price (a tube of anti-cellulite cream costs about 1000 rubles). Buyers note that they did not find the aromas of exotic essential oils in the smell of creams, stated on the label, although they did not find aromatic fragrances either. Oily film on the skin is present, but washed off with water. They cope with moisturizing the cream, but the high price tag does not speak in their favor.

In company products "Fito-cosmetics" the smell of green tea, grape seed, mint and other natural oils proves the absence of flavors. Creams are made on thermal water, green tea and aloe vera juice. When occupied, they need very little due to the watery consistency. They are well absorbed, they do not leave a greasy film, so they can even be used as a primer, judging by customer reviews.

Farsali offers a serum with rosehip oil and gold, declared as a primer, and quite high in cost. Judging by the reviews, when applied at night, it is not completely absorbed, since the next morning the face is oily. The same problem with an excess of oil in the composition also manifests itself when applied under makeup, long-term preservation does not work.

"Organic Shop" produces creams with oils, which can be immediately detected in the composition due to a pronounced pleasant smell. This fact is noted by all buyers, even those who are dissatisfied with the thick concentration and poor absorption of creams. The lack of a membrane in the jar and some soapy effect when applied are alarming. Those with dry skin are happy with these formulations, but those with oily skin are not.

"Black Pearl" considered an excellent budget cream. The fact that the declared oils are clearly not at the top of the list is somewhat embarrassing, but consumers rate the properties as five. It's not greasy or thick and moisturizes well. It is not able to remove wrinkles, but it is suitable even for oily skin, does not cause redness and does not clog pores.

Vichy declares the presence of rare oils and extracts in their compositions, which determines the high price of the product. In general, buyers like the cosmetics of this company, lifting is noted - the effect of serum from oils, but the consistency causes a lot of comments. There are separate reports of an allergic reaction and acne after its use.

Cream brands "NeoBio" rated as good, but not the best. The advantage is that they all have bio-certificates. Absorbed quickly, initially leaving a slight feeling of waxiness, which quickly disappears. Consumers do not note particularly intensive care, but there is a softening and moisturizing effect. The price tag is moderate.

Guerlain produces a series of anti-aging creams and serums with the addition of oils, reviews of which are very good. The cream instantly melts, the next morning the skin is oily, but after washing it becomes fresh and nourished, fine wrinkles are lost. Serums with oils cleanse pores, do not leave a film, and smell wonderful. A big minus is the sky-high price tag for the average consumer.

Products "Planet Organica" generates positive feedback. Creams moisturize dry skin well, are not sticky, give silkiness even to such problem areas as elbows. Not too greasy, do not leave marks on linen, have natural smells. Reasonable price range.

"Recipes of Grandma Agafya" recommended for owners of sensitive skin prone to inflammation; although there are reviews that they cause severe burning sensation on the skin. In general, reviews are mixed, but there are much more positive ones. Everyone, however, notes a relaxing herbal smell and excellent absorbency, which does not cause a desire to wash.

clinic for young skin, buyers do not recommend, referring to the fact that it does not cope with the first wrinkles, leaves a film, and rolls in large quantities. Another thing is anti-aging care, especially for those who have combination skin and are prone to inflammation. The big negative is that many people complain about buying expired products at high prices.

L'Occitane produces creams that contain flavoring, phenoxyethanol preservative, and other chemical compounds, so we cannot talk about their naturalness. When applied, they live up to expectations, but they do not have a cumulative effect and work only when they are on the skin. These are creams from the "luxury" series, which have a high price.

Diptyque just started to produce nourishing products for the skin with oils, the reviews are not bad.

"Eco Beauty" - This is a product of the Oriflame company, it is called comfortable and convenient, with a long-lasting effect. The smell causes dissatisfaction, there are reviews that the creams did not live up to expectations.

MAC is a make-up brand that recently began to produce facial care products. Summer cream with UV protection and moisturizing serum have good reviews, live up to expectations.
