Many women with oily facial skin are sure that they do not need moisturizing and nourishment with the help of oils or other means. This statement is fundamentally wrong - oily skin needs to be especially moisturized and not overdry, the main thing is to choose the right care cosmetics.

Features and Benefits

Natural oils can be used as a moisturizer and nourisher for oily skin. They are of two types: basic and essential. Esters are very concentrated and need to be diluted in base products. For example, two to four drops of ether are taken per tablespoon of the base.

Oils for oily skin have their own characteristics: they should be applied only to wet skin (with the exception of hydrophilic) and blot the residue with a napkin. It happens that some types are not suitable for a certain person, causing subcutaneous acne and clogging pores. In this case, you should try another oil.

These natural remedies have many benefits:

  • Completely natural;
  • Rarely cause allergies (this applies only to the base);
  • Affordable.

Essential oils should be tested before use because they can cause a strong reaction. It is easy to do this - you need to take a drop of the essential solution and apply it to the inside of the arm in the elbow area.If after an hour there is no discomfort or redness or itching, then the remedy is suitable.

Types and properties

Not all oils are useful for oily skin, namely:

  • Black cumin (cleans pores, dries pimples and purulent acne, treats dermatitis, gives elasticity);
  • Rosehip (has vitamins C, A, E, saturates and moisturizes, rejuvenates, promotes cell regeneration and renewal);
  • Grape seed oil (restores moisture in the skin, gives firmness and elasticity, prevents wrinkles);
  • Walnut and hazelnut (softens, nourishes, tones and heals);
  • Jojoba (a popular remedy in cosmetology that helps the skin become more nourished, moisturizes it without forming excess oily sheen);
  • Apricot and raspberry pits (rejuvenate, prevent peeling, smooth fine wrinkles);
  • Wheat germ (gives freshness and elasticity, useful for aging skin).

The listed natural extracts are widely used by cosmetologists for facial massage, or for masks and as an additive to creams. You can use these products at home on your own, adding to finished cosmetics, for example. The effect is also given by pure base elixirs with the addition of esters. For oily skin, you can use oils of rosemary, mint and lemon, tea tree, lavender, grapefruit.

In addition to cosmetic care oils, there are hydrophilic ones. They are used when cleansing the skin, representing a mixture of base oils with an emulsifier. The emulsifier dissolves oils in water and thus promotes deep cleansing of pores. This washing system was invented by Koreans - it is Korean hydrophilic mixtures that are one of the most popular and best.

The daily evening washing ritual for Korean women is as follows: first, a hydrophile is applied to dry skin with makeup, gently massage the skin, including eyes and eyelashes, then wash with warm water (at this time, the oil turns into milk and washes off all makeup), after which you should wash with the usual foam or gel. Then the usual care follows - tonics, serums or creams and so on.

Hydrophilic products not only thoroughly cleanse dirt and make-up, but also nourish the skin, promote better penetration of subsequent care. But the well-known palm oil and its derivatives are rarely used in cosmetics.

Application

A variety of oils for oily skin are used in both care and makeup. If the skin is inflamed, but peeling at the same time, then a couple of drops of any base oil mixed with tea tree oil can be added to the foundation. Such a “cocktail” will calm the face and at the same time remove excess epidermis, since problem skin especially needs proper care and makeup.

To cleanse the skin with enlarged pores, it is better to use hydrophiles with extracts of lemon, green tea, mint or tea tree. In care, it is worth adding products with salicylic acid and rosemary.

Combination skin with oily areas is suitable for a mixture of oils, which both moisturizes and does not cause excess shine. This, for example, tea tree and almond base, rosemary and apricot, sesame. At the same time, washing should be gentle, but it is better to choose “harder” masks for the T-zone, for example, with a warming effect, clay ones.

Recipes

There is nothing better than relaxing and indulgent spa treatments that you can have at home in your own bathroom.For example, to qualitatively cleanse and nourish the skin of the face. There are many ways to do this:

  • To remove excess shine and normalize the complexion, you need to take hazelnut, grape seed, jojoba and apricot kernel oil. Add a drop of rosemary, tea tree and lavender ether to the mixture. The cocktail should be applied to a clean, damp face and left for 15-20 minutes, then wet with a napkin.
  • Facial masks using oils are useful: blue clay is mixed with plain water, half a teaspoon of marigold and lemon tincture and 3 drops of clove essential oil. Wash off the mask after 15 minutes with cool water.
  • We enrich creams: for 10 ml of any face cream (suitable for skin type and preferably evening or night), a drop of lemon, bergamot, rosemary, chamomile, eucalyptus oil is taken.
  • You can also make steam baths to open the pores and cleanse them: add two drops of bergamot, lemongrass and lemon balm to boiling water.

Cosmetic oils for the face can be natural one-component, or care from leading brands. For example, Payot's Myrrh & Amyris Repair Oil is considered one of the best. The tool can be used both for the face and for the body, and it is suitable for any type of skin. Nourishes dehydrated skin, moisturizes dry skin, moisturizes and soothes oily skin without excess shine. The product is not sticky, quickly absorbed, the skin after it remains soft, smooth and supple. The manufacturer recommends using the elixir at night.

Another indispensable and popular product, or rather brand - Aura Cacia. The brand produces a variety of natural base and essential oils.For example, many praise chamomile in jojoba. The mixture is in a small glass bottle with a convenient cap. The oil can be used in different ways: add drop by drop to daily care, cream or serum, wipe the face with it along with tonic. The product heals inflammation, acne disappears faster, peeling is eliminated.

The legendary Clarins Lotus oil for combination to oily skin has many fans around the world, but just as many opponents. For some, it suits perfectly - it cleanses the skin, eliminates black spots and acne, normalizes fat content, and some, on the contrary, suffer from subcutaneous and clogged pores after its application. The manufacturer recommends applying the product correctly: warm a couple of drops in the palms of your hands and apply to damp skin with light patting movements.

Reviews

Ready-made industrial cosmetics for face care are easier to use than one-component formulations. But many women prefer to purchase specific types of oils and mix them on their own, or use one type of product. As a rule, coconut, jojoba, peach oils are popular.

Some still love ready-made cosmetics from well-known brands. It is easier to use, and many of the components included in its composition are not easy to find on the free market. For example, such as myrrh, avocado, passion fruit, etc. In addition, these products are easier to store, because natural oils are demanding on light and air. They need to be placed in a closed dry cabinet and used in a short time.

There are women who generally do not accept oils in their care. They prefer other cosmetics, which, according to reviews, suit them better. In addition, there are people who are allergic to many essential and base compounds.
