Our people have been collecting methods and recipes for years to remove rust stains from things, in case special cleaning devices are not available:

• Tomato juice. Treat the stain with the juice of ripe tomatoes, wait about 20 minutes and rinse. Rinse the product with water and send it to the washing machine on a normal wash cycle.
• Oxalic acid. If you have crystallized oxalic acid in stock at home, you need to take and dissolve a couple of acid crystals in 1 teaspoon of room temperature water.Dip a swab into the resulting liquid and thoroughly saturate the area exposed to rust. You need to rub until the complete disappearance of traces of pollution. After the procedure, rinse the product thoroughly in cool water.
• Glycerin and chalk. Take equal parts of chalk, glycerin and water, mix until a paste forms. Apply a sufficient amount of paste to the problem area and rub in thoroughly. After this treatment, the fabric will be cleaned very quickly. This method is also suitable for use in the fight against rust stains on colored fabrics.
• Ammonia. Great for removing tough stains from whites. Soak a cotton swab in alcohol and apply to the affected area. The treated area should be left for a while, then wash the product.

• Lemon. Cleaning fabrics according to this recipe is recognized as the best way to remove traces of rust. This method is suitable for processing any materials. Take a gauze cloth and put some lemon pulp into it, spread this mass over the contaminated area, and then heat this area with an iron. To completely get rid of the stain, repeat the process again if necessary.
• Lemon juice. Lemon juice is used similarly to the pulp. Pollution is plentifully moistened with lemon juice, covered with a paper towel and ironed. If the stain has not completely disappeared, re-treatment is possible. Warming up is not necessary to clean thin fabrics, just soak the problematic part of the thing well with fresh juice, set it aside to soak for 15 minutes, and then send it to the wash.
• Dish detergent and glycerin. Take equal amounts of ingredients.Mix, distribute the resulting product over the problematic part of the product and set the item aside. Wash after a few hours of soaking.
• Toothpaste. Suitable in case of absence of all other means. Mix a little toothpaste with water until the consistency of sour cream, apply on the stain, leave for 40 minutes.

White things require special care. Even the most careful people are not immune from various accidents, and each of us can find traces of rust on a shirt, dress, other clothes and home interior items, such as tulle. In this case, we have selected several folk methods with which you can wash rust from white fabrics. Choose the method to your taste and go for it:

• Lemon acid. To remove rust in this way, you need to take citric acid (20 grams), pour it into half a glass of water and stir until the acid is completely dissolved. Heat the resulting mixture in an enameled bowl, without boiling, and then dip the part of the product subject to contamination there and soak for 5 minutes. If the contamination could not be removed the first time, repeat the process again, then the fabric should be washed in plenty of cool water. Hyposulfate can fully replace acid, only we dissolve it in a glass of water.
• Wine acid. For this method, you will need tartaric acid and salt in equal proportions. Combine the ingredients and stir until a slurry is formed, which must be slightly diluted with water. Distribute the resulting mixture over the problematic part of the product, put in a transparent container located in the sun. When there are no traces of stains, rinse thoroughly and wash the item as usual.

• Rust remover for plumbing fixtures. This recipe is only suitable for rust removal on white cotton items. In order for the rust to disappear, you need to apply the product to the contaminated area, rub until foaming, rinse thoroughly with plenty of water, and then wash the product according to the washing instructions. This method helps to remove even obsolete pollution.
• Hydrochloric acid. To remove rust from white things, we need a 2% hydrochloric acid solution. This solution must be poured into a container, only the contaminated area should be lowered there, and the thing should be left until the traces of rust have completely disappeared. While you wait, prepare your rinse solution. Take about 3 tablespoons of ammonia and add them to a liter of water, when the thing is cleaned, you should rinse it in the resulting solution.

Then dip the contaminated area into a hot, but not boiling liquid and hold for 5 minutes.Then, first rinse the item with clean cold water, and then repeat the rinse in a solution of water and ammonia. • Acetic acid. This remedy will help in the fight against pollution if you mix 7 liters of warm water with 5 tablespoons of acid. Soak the item in this solution for 12 hours. Then wash the product in the standard mode.

• Onion. We pass the onion through a meat grinder until a homogeneous liquid mass is formed. Add 35 ml of glycerin and apply the mixture to the rust. We wait about 3 hours, remove the excess with a paper towel, wash the product with our hands. After that, we wipe the areas treated with onions with a slice of lemon to eliminate the unpleasant odor. At the end of all procedures, the product must be washed in the usual way.
• A mixture of acids. Take 5 grams of oxalic and 5 grams of acetic acid, dissolve with a glass of water, heat this liquid. Dip the problematic part of the thing in the solution for 3 hours. After that, do not forget to rinse and wash the product as usual. This recipe is suitable for removing even old stains.

Cleaning methods:

• Descaling agent. Effectively removes rust marks from denim clothing with an anti-scale agent.Take a sponge or piece of cloth, immerse it in this liquid and saturate the stain well. Set the item aside for 10-15 minutes and then wash.
• Lemon juice or acid. The previously described method of cleaning products from rust with lemon juice or acid is also suitable for denim. We apply juice to the contaminated part, dry it with an iron or hair dryer and wash the thing.

• Lemon and hydrogen peroxide. Saturate the stain with lemon juice, wipe with a swab in hydrogen peroxide and rinse under cool running water.

1. Before starting the cleaning process, you need to shake the item thoroughly to remove all small particles of dust and dirt. You can clean the surface with a regular clothes brush.
