Hand wax
Cosmetics used for daily skin care have been known for a long time. It is noteworthy that in our time, various synthetic analogues are increasingly being offered, attracting with their availability and high efficiency. However, products with natural ingredients in the composition are becoming increasingly popular.
For example, even experts in the field of medicine talk about the benefits of beeswax for the skin of the hands. There is nothing surprising in the fact that on the shelves of stores you can see various creams and ointments with its content, and with a strong desire, you can make natural cosmetics even at home.
Features and unique properties
Each of us from childhood knows what honey is and where it comes from. But few people think about wax, although this substance is also very unique in nature and, as it turned out, can be very useful for our body.
Wax, as well as honey, is produced exclusively by young bees, whose age has not reached 15 days. They feed on pollen, and the products of its processing, together with special enzymes, enter special glands on the abdomen, where subsequently a viscous wax is formed from them. It is the enzymes of young bees that make this substance so unique to us.
Among other things, a cold concentrate of such a substance or natural hand wax in the cream has a pleasant texture and smell. It usually has a light floral aroma, with a slightly pale yellowish tint. You can also find green wax, which indicates a high content of propolis in it.
Compound
If we are talking about the benefits of wax for our skin, then you should pay attention to the composition of this substance. It is its uniqueness that determines such unusual efficiency. It includes about 50 different biologically active substances that have no analogues and are in fact indispensable in nature. Of course, we will not list them all. However, the main components can be noted:
- Approximately 75% may be esters. These substances provide cleaning of the upper layers of the dermis due to their special atomic structure, and are also a good conductor for other components. That is why wax is a good cosmetic base component that enhances the effectiveness of any moisturizing or nourishing product;
- Fatty acids, most of which are unique. These substances provide nutrition to the skin, and also activate some processes of biological tissue regeneration. That is why beeswax is often prescribed for eczema, burns and some other lesions of the dermis;
- hydrocarbons, providing hydration and nutrition of tissues, soften them;
- In addition, the composition of the wax also includes components that have an effect on the body. bactericidal, general cleansing and soothing effect.
When and how is it applied
In medicine and cosmetology, beeswax is used much more often than one might think.It is considered to be perhaps the most popular natural ingredient for the production of cosmetics and herbal remedies.
Even a regular wax hand cream can be used for various inflammatory and other pathological processes:
- Fungal infection of the skin of the wrist, palms, hands, fingers and interdigital spaces;
- Dermatitis of both allergic and hormonal origin;
- To prevent and remove psoriasis;
- eczema or vitiligo;
- The appearance of varicose veins in the areas of the hands;
Most often, pure wax can be used as an additional component that improves the penetration of other, more serious drugs. Sometimes it also serves as the basis for a mask or compress. However, if we talk about cosmetic care for the skin of the hands, then in this case, wax in itself is a very effective tool:
- Restores and maintains normal water-salt and fat balance. Due to this, such products can be used for any type of skin;
- Rapid healing of microcracks and any other not too deep damage to the dermis;
- Softens cuticles on fingers, prevents the appearance of burrs, smoothes the surface of the skin;
- Strengthens nail plate and improves its growth;
- Eliminates inflammation and softens their manifestations in the form of itching, peeling, redness;
- Nourishes and moisturizes.
Most often, the use of hand wax with the addition of active ingredients is recommended, depending on what kind of effect you need. Most often, wax products can be enriched with elements such as:
- Panthenol;
- Vitamins of group E, A, B, C;
- Natural oils and extracts.
Panthenol with wax is preferable if you need to treat a wound or a crack, but oils and vitamins improve nutrition, hydration and cleansing of all layers of the skin of the hands. One of the important advantages of such cosmetic preparations is that they do not actually cause any adverse reactions or allergic processes, therefore they have no contraindications.
Popular manufacturers
Today, many cosmetics manufacturers have turned their attention to wax as an ideal base for hand creams. Unfortunately, many brand companies overlook the original natural ingredients, preferring pure synthetics. Nevertheless, there are quite reliable manufacturers whose products are worth paying attention to.
For example, hand cream with wax from DNC is quite popular. This creamy concentrate is particularly suitable for normal to dry skin as it has a very nourishing effect. The composition, in addition to the beeswax itself, includes a large amount of natural oils, esters, vitamins of group E.
A positive effect is noted after the first 5-7 uses. The skin of the hands becomes smoother, silky, clean, acquires a soft velvety structure.
Another popular manufacturer that receives positive reviews is "Red line". Particularly noteworthy cream "Full care", the main part of which is vitamin E and beeswax. Unlike the previous DNC remedy, this is not a concentrate. In other words, the composition contains water, which provides additional moisture.
Such a tool, due to its affordable price, can replace two creams - for moisturizing and for nutrition, representing an ideal combination of these properties.
How to cook yourself
The uniqueness of wax as a hand skin care product also lies in its availability. In any nearby market, you can easily find a natural bee product with which you can make a homemade cream that is not inferior in its effectiveness to a product from a store. The recipe for making such a tool with your own hands is quite simple. You will need:
- 2 parts any natural oil. The most commonly used is regular olive, but you can also take peach, linseed or even castor. The main thing is that all components are clean, fresh and of high quality;
- 1 part of any cosmetic oil. Coconut is recommended, but it can also be replaced with jojoba or argan;
- 1 part beeswax. You can also take wax with propolis;
