Narrow tie

Trends in the development of world fashion show us such a clothing accessory as a narrow tie. They were fashionable in the sixties of the last century. Suffice it to recall the Beatles. Later, by the eighties, the width of the tie increased to 8-10 cm or more. Now again, more and more often you can see narrow (already 6 cm) ties. It is "narrow" and not "thin", because when they talk about thin, they most often mean ties made of thin fabric. The tip of the tie can be the usual diamond-shaped, or maybe rectangular, it's even more stylish.

The material of the tie can also be completely different. Of course, silk comes first, it's a classic. Other natural fabrics are quite acceptable - cashmere, wool, cotton, linen and their combinations with silk. Ties knitted from woolen or acrylic thread look very good. Leather ties are incomparable in their elegance; they can become a highlight of both men's and women's wardrobes. A separate group is tie-laces (Bolo).

If you are dressed in a business style, then both the tie and the suit should be presented in the same color scheme. Undoubtedly, the meaning of the color of a tie is very important, so some rules must be observed:

• White tie is traditionally the tie of lawyers, judges and notaries. If you are not one of them, then it is better not to wear a white tie.

• Black tie emphasizes the formality of the event. It should be remembered that many people associate black with mourning, so it is better to do without a black tie in business negotiations and ceremonial receptions so as not to create a gloomy mood. A small drawing will help to revive the black color.

• Yellow - associates perseverance.
• Purple tie will add mystery to its owner.

There are rules in choosing a tie. The tie should be darker than the suit, and the shirt should be lighter than the tie. A plain tie will suit a shirt with a pattern and vice versa, a tie with a pattern will suit a plain shirt. Ties with oblique stripes and repeating geometric patterns (rhombuses, zigzags, "cucumbers") are considered classic.

A narrow tie is good because it can make the image not only solid, but also stylish. It is best to tie a narrow tie with Quarter or Half Windsor knots, but other knots will work. When tied, the wide end of the tie should touch or slightly cover the belt buckle.

1. Put the tie around your neck so that the wide edge goes down the left side of the chest.
2. Cover the narrow edge with the wide end of the tie
3. Make one full turn with the wide edge around the narrow
4. Pass the wide end through the loop on the neck from the inside out so that the wide end overlaps the narrow end and the future knot.

2. Overlap the narrow edge with the wide end of the tie and then wrap the narrow end so that the corner of the wide one faces to the left.

5. From the throat loop we lower the wide part into the gap left earlier and tighten the knot

For example, you can tie a tie so that the wide and narrow ends are next to each other, and not one behind the other.

• Always untie your tie after you take it off.
• Store it either hanging or rolled up to help smooth out wrinkles.

• Do not iron your tie, use steam jets to do this.
• Don't wash your ties, dry clean them
• Have a few ties in your collection, change them every day, letting the fabric "rest"
