Men's ties from different materials

A tie is an accessory of a real stylish or business man. By the presence of a tie in the image, you can add up the first impression of a man. But, on the other hand, this element is capable of spoiling the entire ensemble and putting its owner in a far from good light. This happens due to the wrong selection of a men's tie, a sloppy knot, or, very importantly, due to the wrong material for a tie.

The manner of wearing a tie came from France. Although the word “tie” itself is of German origin and is translated as “a scarf around the neck”. But the first to present the decoration to the general public was Louis XIV. Of course, at that time the tie did not look the same as it does today, but it was then that this element of the wardrobe gained recognition.

materials

  • Twill. This material, with the right choice of color, is able to perfectly present a model of a tie for every day. As you know, twill has a rather rough weave structure, so the tie fits perfectly and simplifies the image. Such an accessory can complement a business suit, but only on condition that the tie is a classic shade.
  • Grenadine. Grenadine material has a dense structure. Such a fabric can be of two types: with a wide weave and with a dense weave. The advantage of a tie made of this material is that it can be easily combined with various suits. But, with all this, this tie does not go beyond the business classic style.
  • Made from satin fabric. A satin tie is perfect for evening events. The shiny, flowing surface of a satin tie will look great with a classic black suit. You should not combine such a tie with colored shirts, this tandem will not impress anyone, but will only tell about the bad taste of its owner.
  • Silk. The advantages of silk fabric are known, for sure, to everyone. This beautiful natural material is endowed with a surface that perfectly highlights the weaving of the threads. Silk lends itself perfectly to dyeing, you can safely purchase plain models, or ties with various patterns. A silk tie is not a formal accessory, it can be used in almost any suit.
  • Knitted. Very stylish and incredibly popular is a knitted tie. This model has been known since the 70s of the twentieth century. Today, due to the relevance of the casual style, a knitted tie is combined with many wardrobe items inherent in this style.
  • Jacquard. Jacquard is a dense material with shiny threads and a variety of patterns. Elegant men prefer models from this material. And no wonder, because a jacquard tie looks very rich, with its presence the whole image will look advantageous.
  • From flax. Linen itself is associated with hot summer days. A linen tie is designed for a warm period. Due to its uneven surface, a linen tie is an excellent addition to light-colored suits.
  • Woolen. If the previous version represents the summer period, then the wool tie, on the contrary, is intended for winter or cold autumn. Due to the density of the material, a tie knot is not always perfect, but it is allowed. A wool tie will be a great addition to a cardigan, tweed jacket or denim shirt.
  • From felt. Only brave men prefer this model. Felt fabric is very poorly deformed, so this tie can have an extremely careless knot. If, nevertheless, there is a desire to dilute the image with an accessory made of felt, it is better to replace the usual tie with a bow tie.
