Like any public institution, the school has its own rules of conduct. If high school students have already adapted and know what to do and what not to do, then younger students still need to be taught everything. What are the rules of etiquette for elementary grades and in particular for first graders?

General recommendations

Preparing their child for the first day of school, many parents give their instructions and recommendations. Moms and dads say that within the educational institution you need to obey the teacher (and rightly so). For elementary grades, there is an etiquette and rules for communication in a team.

You must arrive 10 minutes before the bellin order to have time to reach your class, take off your outer clothing and change into a change of shoes, if necessary.

If the school has a dressing room, then you need to leave your coat or jacket there. Each class has its own seats and hangers. You should hang your outerwear on the same hook every day so that you don’t have to look for it later. It is also worth remembering that you need to carefully leave things in the wardrobe or in the classroom closet.

If someone's clothing was accidentally touched and it fell, be sure to pick it up and hang it in place.

You can not play in the school locker room, as well as spend time at breaks.For this, there is a class, a school yard or a canteen where you can spend free 5-10 minutes.

You should never be late for class without a good reason. If it so happens that being late is unavoidable, then one should not walk through the corridors waiting for one lesson to end and the second to begin. A latecomer should knock on the classroom door, say hello, ask for forgiveness for being late and, if allowed, enter the classroom.

Rules of Conduct in the Classroom

As soon as the bell rings, you need to be ready for the lesson. Each student should sit at his desk, and textbooks, notebooks and other school supplies should be prepared in advance. During the lesson, the student must behave calmly:

  • keep quiet;
  • do not shout;
  • do not distract classmates;
  • don't distract yourself.

As soon as the need arises to ask a question on the topic of the lesson or to answer the question posed by the teacher, the student should raise his hand, but not shout from his place. You can also leave the lesson for any reason only with the permission of the teacher.

When another student answers a question or talks about a topic, it cannot be interrupted. Even if he answers incorrectly. After that, you can raise your hand and ask to complete the answer or topic.

As soon as the teacher called the student to the blackboard, he should stand up. You can answer from the spot or go ahead. You need to do as the teacher says. The question must be answered clearly.

You need to speak clearly so that the whole class can hear the answer, and also you do not have to ask again or ask to repeat.

Assignments and exercises should be clearly and accurately recorded in a notebook. It is impossible to write off from a neighbor on the desk - this is wrong. If the student does not fully understand the topic and cannot cope with the task, then you can always contact the teacher for additional clarification of the topic.

As soon as the lesson ends and the bell rings, you can’t jump off your seat and rush into the corridor. The teacher must have time to complete the lesson, give homework, which must be carefully recorded in the diary. Only after that you can go to change.

What is allowed during recess?

Recess - free time from the lesson. But this does not mean at all that the student should forget about the rules of behavior and behave noisily.

As a rule, primary classes are located in one isolated part of the school. High school students don't come here. In addition, first-graders are forbidden to leave the corridor of the floor where their class is located, otherwise the kids will be able to get lost, be late for the lesson.

When playing with classmates at recess, one should remember that one should always and in everything respect the work of others. You can not litter, scatter candy wrappers and labels, dirty the walls in the corridor or classroom. Every day, every classroom and every corridor is carefully cleaned for the arrival of schoolchildren, therefore Pupils should maintain the cleanliness of their home school as much as possible.

You can not run much along the corridors and stairs. This can lead to falls and other unpleasant consequences (and even serious injuries). If in the corridor the student met one of the adults and even unfamiliar teachers, then you need to step aside (to the wall) to let the person through and you definitely need to say hello to him.

If a student of the third or fourth grade saw that a first grader was being offended or he needed help, then he definitely needed help.

In the dining room

The school canteen is a place where students from different classes can meet at the same time.As a rule, younger groups have their own stipulated time when they are allowed to go to this room for meals.

You only need to go to the dining room at a big break in order to have time to return to class before the next lesson. In the dining room, too, you can’t shout, push, be rude and behave inappropriately:

  • If there is a queue in the dining room, then you can not crawl forward. You must wait your turn.
  • You should not forget about courtesy and general rules of conduct at the table.
  • As soon as the student finishes his lunch, he should clear everything from the table.
  • Dirty dishes should be taken to a special window or put on the table.

In library

At a big break or after the end of all the lessons, you can go to the library, where there are always interesting and entertaining books. You should never forget about politeness and you should definitely say hello to the librarian, and only then ask for help finding this or that book. It is forbidden to talk loudly and make noise in the library, since many students at this time can study in the reading room and loud conversations will interfere with them.

Books should always be returned to the library on time. They should be handled carefully and carefully so as not to tear or wrinkle the sheets. Do not draw or take notes in books.

By instilling the rules of behavior in every student from the first grade, we bring up polite, kind and sympathetic children. Each student must not only remember all the rules of etiquette and behavior at school, but also comply with them.
