Children's clothes Kerry girls and boys
This Finnish brand is incredibly popular in Russia - moms and dads appreciate these clothes for their practicality and high quality. Despite the high price, Kerry children's clothing for girls and boys is in great demand from year to year.
About the brand
The Kerry brand has been present on the Russian market since 1999. This brand was created specifically for the sales of clothes of the Finnish brand Lenne in Russia. Kerry and Lenne overalls and sets are made at the same factory in Estonia and do not differ in anything, except for the name on the tag. Kerry "goes" to Russia, Lenne - to European cities. According to the distributors of the brand, the only difference is in the demi-season kits: Lenne has a little less insulation, because the off-season in Europe is softer and shorter.
Today Kerry is sold in Russia by over 300 stores, including large chains. The range of the brand includes outerwear for children from birth to 16 years. Along with winter and demi-season overalls, sets and jackets, Kerry produces a full line of accessories: hats and scarves, gloves and mittens, collars (shirtfronts) and booties for babies.
Features and benefits of products
- Kerry is not membrane clothing. The upper fabric has a special water-repellent and windproof coating, which is not a membrane in the full sense of the word. Kerry is comfortable due to a sufficient amount of insulation, and this clothing does not require the layering rule (i.e. the child does not need to wear thermal underwear and fleece underwear). It is usually enough to wear a cotton longsleeve or a jacket made of fine wool.
- Suitable for the smallest children. It is generally accepted that membrane overalls are designed for mobile children - i.e. "walkers" who do not lie in a wheelchair. Kerry, on the other hand, produces envelopes with a filling of 330 g/sq.m (it simply cannot be higher!), in which sleeping babies are warm.
- Kerry is insulated with isosoft synthetic filler. This is a heater, the fibers of which are in the form of balls. Thanks to this, the product perfectly retains heat, does not lose its shape and is easy to care for - it can be machine washed at 40 degrees and wrung out.
- The brand has two types of upper fabric: Active and impregnated fabric. Active fabric is more durable and wear-resistant. It is used in the lower part of one-piece overalls and semi-overalls for boys. Some models use a special heavy-duty Cordura fabric. It is inserted into those places that experience the greatest stress: elbows, knees, ass.
Model overview
Kerry never skimps on bright colors - models for children are full of multi-colored prints.
Envelopes are sewn for the little ones. They do not transform into a jumpsuit, however, all Kerry envelopes have a slot for a car belt - this means that a child in this attire can be carried in a car seat. Envelopes are sewn in sizes 50, 56 and 62.If the baby was born in the fall or early winter, a larger envelope is useful to him so that there is a margin for growth. For those who were born closer to the warm season, a small envelope will suffice, because. It won't work for the next season anyway.
Winter envelopes have a heater of 250-300 g / sq.m, demi-season - 80. For a newborn baby, it is enough to put on a cotton slip and a knitted or fleece suit under such outerwear. The sleeves are closed with special cuffs, and for the convenience of mothers, the envelope is fastened with two zippers on the sides.
For both boys and girls, the colors of the envelopes are gentle: blue, pink, light green, yellow. As a rule, they are plain with a small pattern on the chest and a beautiful printed lining.
For older children, overalls and “jacket + semi-overalls” sets are sewn. Winter overalls for girls and boys have a heater of 330 g/sq.m. For babies up to 1.5 years old (sizes 68-86), overalls are sewn, as a rule, from one type of material. The hood has an internal elastic band, due to which it fits snugly to the head. In shape, it resembles a cap, which distinguishes Kerry from all other companies.
They have one zipper, but long, from the throat to the middle of the leg, and on top it closes with a flap with buttons. A horizontal elastic band is sewn on the back for a snug fit. The sleeves are closed with a flap. At the bottom there are straps for attaching to shoes.
The Kerry collections have plain overalls, there are printed ones. For girls - white, pink, red, lilac colors with flowers, hearts, bunnies, and for boys - blue, green, gray with bears, aliens, geometric patterns.
From a height of 86 (that is, from about a year and a half), overalls have their own look - the lower part is sewn from Active fabric, it is rougher to the touch, but durable! It turns out that the top of such products is with a print, and the bottom is plain. Such models are no longer equipped with a valve for closing the sleeve, and welt pockets with zippers appear on them. The hit of the 2016-2017 season is “slits” with a skirt for girls: a small frill resembling a peplum is sewn in at the junction of the trousers with the jacket.
One-piece overalls are sewn up to a height of 134, and the further, the less variety in prints and colors. Most likely this is due to the fact that such clothes become uncomfortable for school-age children.
Kerry sets are sewn from a size of 80 cm. In demi-season options, 80 g / sq. m of insulation in a jacket and 45 in trousers. In winter - the jacket is “stuffed” with 330 g of insulation, and the trousers - 180. The length of the semi-overalls is adjusted using buttons on the straps.
For suits, prints are applied only to the jacket, the trousers for girls are pink, gray or black, for boys they are black.
For children over 3 years old and teenagers, Kerry produces separately jackets, trousers and coats - for winter and autumn / spring. You can assemble the "top" and "bottom" yourself, or you can buy one jacket and wear it, for example, with jeans. The choice of models is huge - bright jackets of sports cut and classic ones. For girls, there are real winter coats that will cover your legs to the knees - you can wear them with tight tights and dresses.
Size chart
When choosing Kerry outerwear, consider the following:
- Models for babies up to 2 years old (up to height 92) have a margin of 6 cm for growth during the season. That is, when purchasing winter overalls for a one-year-old baby 80 cm tall in the fall, it makes sense to take a size 80 overall, which has a margin of up to 86 height. Such overalls will not be great for the child, but will not become small until the end of the season.
- When choosing Kerry outerwear for children over 2 years old, it is worth considering that the ingots for these ages have a margin of +6 cm, and the sets are exactly in size. The pants have a little trick: some of them are supplemented with an inner cuff to keep snow out, and some just have an elastic band at the bottom. Pants with cuffs are best purchased exactly in size, and if you want them to have a "stock", you should choose the option with an elastic band.
- Larger children should always take a jumpsuit or set one size larger than what fits!
- The size of the cap is equal to the girth of the head in centimeters. The size of gloves and mittens corresponds to the age of the child, i.e. size 2 - for 2 years, etc.
How to distinguish the original
It is believed that it is unprofitable to fake Kerry - the brand uses quite expensive fittings, which immediately “tells” the whole truth about the product. However, fakes do occur. In order not to run into them, you need to buy clothes from a trusted seller, preferably in an official distributor store.
It should be understood that Kerry overalls are quite expensive, and if the seller offers to purchase a new item for 2-3 thousand rubles, most likely it is a fake.
Pay attention to the clarity of the print and the quality of the seams. A real jumpsuit has these parameters on top!
Be sure to read everything that is written on the tag. Very often, manufacturers openly write that this is not Kerry, but, for example, Keery, but the buyer does not notice this.
What is the price
At official Kerry sellers, prices start at 4,500 rubles - about the cost of envelopes for newborns. Winter overalls cost no less than 8,000 rubles, individual models (small size and without prints) - about 6,000. Winter coats - from 8,000 rubles, a Kerry Lux coat decorated with embroidery and Swarovski crystals - 15,000 rubles. Demi-season overalls are sold at a price of 6,000 rubles, sets - from 7,500.
Reviews
Most mothers say that Kerry clothes live up to all expectations: they are warm, light and well-tailored. After the season, socks, overalls and suits remain in good condition, so that they can be passed on to younger siblings or sold. Parents of children who go to kindergarten are always sure that the child is warm, because. Kerry does not require additional underwear, and does not need to be supervised to put them on.
Among the shortcomings, buyers note the volume of things and the excessive popularity of the brand - often in one yard you can meet 3-4 children in almost identical Kerry sets.
Stylish images
Bright suits of the Finnish brand speak for themselves. It is enough to pick up a suitable hat and gloves for them. For colorful sets, monochrome accessories are better suited, for calm colors - bright ones.
Bright stripes look original on the boy, and the pattern on the hat repeats the print of the jacket.
A hat that matches the overalls can be selected among the accessories of the same brand. It will perfectly repeat the colors of outerwear, but at the same time differ in pattern.
Here, the hat is more delicate than the shade of the suit, but in the same color scheme - the image looks logical and complete.
