Modern makeup is incredibly demanding. Beauty bloggers on YouTube are actively promoting not only various cosmetics, but also makeup brushes, which, as it is believed, no modern girl can do without. Each in the arsenal should have the following tools: a brush for powder, shadows, eyebrows, a brush for gloss or lipstick.

What are lip brushes?

After reading dozens of articles and watching the same number of video tutorials, applying glitter with a stick that is attached to its cap is no longer very fashionable. For a perfect application, you will need a gloss in a “box”, which must be applied with a brush.

Lip brushes come in different shapes and lengths. In addition, the shape of the pile is important, as well as its origin.

So, a lip brush can be:

  • flat square shape;
  • flat pointed shape;
  • flat square shape with rounded corners.

Ideally, a brush for gloss or lipstick should be made of soft synthetic bristles.

The fact is that natural fiber very much absorbs cosmetics - this will increase consumption, and the brush itself will quickly become unusable.

Peculiarities

The softer the fibers, the better the brush will spread the makeup over the surface of the lips. It is believed that square and rounded brushes are best suited for lipstick, while for shine it is worth using a thin, pointed brush.It allows you to clearly outline the contour of the lips and apply a fairly liquid product more accurately.

The length of the tool itself also matters. The longer the handle, the more convenient it will be to use. In addition, it allows you to keep your hand a little further from the face, so as not to smear makeup and stain clothes in lipstick.

The folding brush which is twisted inside is very convenient in use. Such a tool can be easily carried in a bag or cosmetic bag - you will not stain the material with cosmetics. Since lip makeup has to be touched up often, this “device” will be your constant companion.

The sponge that usually comes with lip gloss is also used for application.

Contrasting color sponges are convenient so that you can see how much funds are being collected. However, they quickly turn into a glossy color.

Some manufacturers of sponges come with a “dimple” on one side - it gains gloss for exactly 1 lip coating. With the other (flat) side of the sponge, the product is distributed over the lips.

Sponge, by the way, can be easily “squeezed out” by leaning it against the edge of the bottle so that the extra shine from it stacks. There are innovative forms of sponges - for example, Clarins gloss oil. It is very large and fluffy, has the shape of a shoulder blade. At the same time, it is easily “wrung out” and allows you to apply cosmetics very evenly.

In professional makeup, most often with a sponge, the gloss only “reaches” to the lips, and then it is shaded with a brush. It will allow you to better fill all the folds on the lips.

How to use?

Even the most expensive professional brush will be a trinket if it is in the wrong hands. You can only hone your skills if you keep practicing.

To properly make up your lips with gloss, you must first carefully prepare them.

If you regularly paint your lips, especially in bright colors, you should definitely do a scrub. Here, as with a face make-up, cleanliness and smoothness of the skin is 50% of success.

This can be done simply by lightly massaging your lips with a clean toothbrush after brushing your teeth. After the procedure, apply a balm.

You can use a delicate facial peel or make a homemade scrub with honey and sugar. The main thing is not to scrub your lips right before applying cosmetics. It is ideal to do this at night so that the skin has time to recover well. You don't need to do this more than once a week.

So, it is assumed that you have well-groomed, scrubbed lips that are regularly smeared with a good balm.

If you decide to use only gloss, then you need to apply a thin layer of powder or foundation on your lips. This can be done with your fingers or a spare brush. So cosmetics will stay on better.

If you have rather oily skin, the gloss spreads, you can draw the edges of the lips with a pencil - you just need to choose a color to match the gloss or lips.

After applying the tonal foundation and eyeliner, you need to pick up gloss on a brush or sponge and apply it pointwise to the center of the lips. Then, squeezing and unclenching your lips, spread it over the entire surface. After that - correct with a brush, walking carefully along the edges. If there is not enough money in the corners, you can additionally add it with a brush. This application (from the center) will focus on the central part of the mouth. The tool will make the lips more plump and sensual.

If you want to apply gloss on top of lipstick, the best way to do this is to apply lipstick by gently picking it up with a brush from a bottle or palette. Then - remove the excess with a napkin and apply a layer of powder.Then - another layer of lipstick, outlining the edges in detail with a brush. It is necessary to make short movements with a brush, filling the lips with pigment.

After that, you can apply gloss according to the technology described above.

If you want to make the coating matte, you need to cover the gloss with a layer of finishing powder.

To do this, it is better to choose a square or rounded flat brush from your arsenal.
